The Rainbow Center - Mircaz Keshet

We provide awareness and sensitivity training to organizations in our community regarding sexual orientation, homophobia and heterosexism to make our communities responsive and welcoming.

Does your organization value diversity?

Are you or your organization committed to a policy of inclusion?

Is there a difference between tolerance and true acceptance?

Do you or your organization want or need information about GLBT people?

If you or your organization is concerned about hatred, intolerance, or lack of awareness about the GLBT and questioning community, The Rainbow Center can help. We offer workshops and activities designed to increase awareness and to educate members of our community. For our rabbinical community, we have available training addressing Judaic thought on homosexuality. Trained faculty from organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League, Jewish Family and Career Services, The Rainbow Center and Congregation Bet Haverim lead the courses and activities. Appropriate audiences include schools (both private and public), universities, religious organizations, synagogues, churches, mosques, service clubs, youth groups, PTA and other professional organizations including health & human services.

The Shefa Fund has generously provide a grant to The Rainbow Center to train individuals to be Rainbow Center Ambassadors that will outreach in the community to present sensitivity and awareness about sexual orientation, homophobia and sexism. If you are interested in becoming a Rainbow Center Ambassador or would like us to visit your organization to speak on this subject, please contact us.

Major funding by Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta
under the auspices of Jewish Family and Career Services
and sponsored by Congregation Bet Haverim.
